This example explains the success of the development of the Vancouver Olympic Village site in the mid-2000s. In 2007, Millennium Southeast False Creek Properties Ltd., the City of Vancouver, and Building Opportunities with Business Inner-City Society (BOB) committed to offer 100 entry-level construction jobs for inner-city residents and purchase $15 million from inner-city businesses through a CBA. BOB went on to develop 10 construction training courses and six pre-employment training courses for residents.
