An interesting look at the developing carbon capture technology used by Carbon Engineering and what it can potentially do to impact climate change. In what is called Direct Air Capture, large fans suck air out of the atmosphere and use chemical solutions to trap carbon dioxide which are either stored underground or reused as fuels. While there is some skepticism over the funding and partnership with some oil and gas companies and its potential use to recycle carbon to extract more oil, this technology, if deployed on a massive scale, can make an incredible impact.
